Boylestone Singers

We are a local, lively and friendly choir, singing for village and local events. We sing a wide range of pieces from religious pieces for Church services to gospel, show songs and pop for concerts and events.
Our Music Director and Conductor is Adele Hickling-Jones and our accompanist is Geraldine Owen.
We practice at Boylestone Village Hall on Wednesday evenings from 7 pm to 8.30 pm as often necessary for our performances and engagements.
The current cost per week is £2.
We have a short tea break in our rehearsals to allow us to have a good chat, share news and make friends.
Singing is healthy for body and soul. Do come and join us! We are always looking for new singers in all voice parts. There is no audition and you do not need to read music. Whether you are a seasoned chorister or a newbie, you will be more than welcome.

Rural Life Group

The speaker this month is a female dry stone waller by the name of Emma Yates. Emma will tell us how she got into dry stone walling and how she has made such a success of it. All welcome. Refreshments. £2 donation requested. Please come along. New attendees are always welcome.
Our rural social groups continue to prove popular and offer a welcome opportunity for communities to come together.
They are lively meetings of rural residents including a number of retired and semi-retired farmers and family members who meet for tea and a chat with meals out and speakers thrown in for good measure. A £2 donation is requested to cover Hall costs.
No membership is required. Pop into a meeting when you're able, everyone is always welcome.

Watercolour Art Class

Ladies Group - this week - Christmas Meal and Talk – Stories My Father Told Me

This very sociable and active group is always delighted to welcome new members, you don't have to live in Boylestone to join. The monthly meeting includes refreshments and usually welcomes a guest speaker on a wide variety of subjects from Bee Keeping to Belly Dancing – yes we've tried it!
The Ladies Group supports the Church and Village Hall in running fundraising events as well as being responsible for many of the social and fundraising events of their own including Scarecrow and Christmas Tree Festivals.
An annual membership subscription of £35 is payable in April to cover the cost of speakers and Hall hire etc.
