The Parish Council
The Parish Council was established in 1970 and today its 5 Councillors are elected every four years to represent the approximately 200 residents who live in the parish. Councillors, although elected, are volunteers who willingly give their time to support Boylestone and its residents. The Parish Council generally holds regular meetings every 2 months. These are known as Parish Council Ordinary Meetings and they usually take place at 7:00pm on a Thursday. An annual meeting for parishioners to come along and have a say (known as the Annual Parish Meeting) is held in April each year and this is followed in May by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council. Occasionally when urgent or unusual matters need to be considered, a Parish Council Extraordinary Meeting will be held. All meetings take place at the Boylestone Village Hall.
